<br><br>Hello,<br>Here us good news from RwEdNet, Rwanda. Read email below...<br><br>Best regards<br>Tiwonge<br><br><br>Dear Colleagues<br><br>This is to inform you that RwEdNet has just concluded<br>a deal with the regulator and a local Internet service<br>
provider (through satellite) to get a bulk of<br>subsidised bandwidth using Universal Access funds. We<br>are now informing our member institutions that they<br>can get 1 Mbps at USD 500 a month (the normal price is<br>usd 2,500). The first contract between the regulator<br>
and the Internet service provider will be for 18<br>months and will be linked to the Sub marine cable<br>projects development in the region(this was the hard<br>part to negotiate). In addition, we have already<br>secured access to fiber optic from another telecom<br>
