> The symposium, which is the first-ever organized by FIRST in the<br>
> Africa Region, and pre-events will be hosted by the Ministry of<br>
> Communications at the Alisa Hotel, Accra –Ghana.<br>

> FIRST Symposia have been organized since 2005 on regional basis in<br>
> Latin-America, North-America, Europe and Asia-Pacific and is usually<br>
> hosted by FIRST members.<br>
><br>
> The theme of the Symposium is “Joining Forces to Promote Cybersecurity<br>
> in Africa”.<br>
><br>
> The program will comprise of a 2 – day Pre-Symposium training workshop<br>
> followed the FIRST Symposium then an AfricaCERT Day.<br>
><br>
> The following Tracks will be run concurrently during the<br>
> pre-Symposium Training Workshop:<br>
><br>
> a) 28th - 29th Sept 2015 : Training<br>
><br>
> Track1: Web Defacement Incident handling Process<br>
> Track2: CERT Creation and Management<br>
> Track3: Digital Forensic in the Incident Handling Process<br>

> b) 30th Sept 2015 :<br>
><br>
> · FIRST Symposium<br>

> c) 1st October 2015 :<br>

> · AfricaCERT Day<br>
><br>
> Participants are required to pay a fee of USD100. Interested<br>

> The FIRST Symposium to be held on September 30, 2015 and will bring on<br>

> address issues relating to security in cyberspace with focus on<br>
> Africa.<br>

> The participation to the conference is open to all. AfricaCERT day<br>
> will be held on October 1, 2015, and will bring together the various<br>
> CSIRT in Africa to discuss the way forward and formalize their<br>
> relationship with AfricaCERT.<br>

> FIRST Symposia event is open to all incident response/security<br>
> industry professionals and subject to a vetting process and provide a<br>
> discussion forum for member teams to share information about<br>
> vulnerabilities, incidents, tools and all other issues that affect the<br>
> operation of incident response and security teams.<br>
